The project web site (www.le-notre.org) has been identified as one of the key outputs from the first year of the project. Its importance is more than just as an electronic notice board on which the information about the project can be posted and the results displayed when it is finished. The LE:NOTRE web site is intended to play a key role in the collection and dissemination of data as well as providing a means of communication between the Network Member Schools.
The site is organised in two layers, the top layer being intended to provide information to a wider public about the aims and objectives of the project, its participants and its structure and planned outputs. A second layer will act as the working environment for the project participants, providing access to databases for the collection and organisation of data and later to discussion forums and information libraries intended to aid the development of joint initiatives between Network Member Schools.
Although the web site is scheduled to be up and running by the end of January, its scope and complexity as well as its content are expected to develop considerably throughout the three years of the project.
