Following
the collection and interpretation of information about teaching
programmes within the first year of the project, it will be the
role of the members of each of the working groups taken from all
the network member schools, to start to organise and classify the
information about teaching programmes.
This will involve moving from a painting a picture of what is actually
being dealt with within teaching relating to the subject area in
question, to beginning to assess what the ideal shape of teaching
on the subject might be. This discussion should initially aim to
deal with defining the optimum approaches to dealing with the subject
matter relating to the working group in question, irrespective of
external constraints. At the start of this process, members of the
working groups should begin to formulate appropriate questions to
members of the partner organisations as well as to the representatives
of the respective neighbouring disciplines.
