This working group focuses specifically on the factors influencing
and approaches to the structuring, organisation, and detailed treatment
of outdoor spaces of all kinds. The spatial design of parks, gardens,
urban spaces as well as the external spaces associated with all
building types and functions, ranging from schools to office blocks,
from museums to housing schemes. Concern is with both the approach
to the design process as well as with a critical consideration of
its products. Manipulation of space and the selection and use of
materials all play an important role.
