ECLAS Doctoral Colloquium on 19th of September 2012

Doctoral students are invited to submit abstracts

The ECLAS PhD colloquium will take place on Wednesday, 19th of September (afternoon), at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences as part of the ECLAS conference ‘The power of landscape’. The PhD colloquium aims to enhance exchange and collaboration of European doctoral students. During this afternoon session we would like to discuss ongoing thesis works in small thematic groups. Therefore, doctoral candidates are invited to send a short abstract (150 words) of their research work to this e-mail address: ellen.fetzer@hfwu.de (Ellen Fetzer)
Based on the submissions we will generate a sequence of short presentations. As part of these presentations, doctoral students will have the chance to discuss their methodical approach with senior staff members and fellow doctoral candidates from all over Europe.

In addition, the foundation of an ‘ECLAS Young Academics Network’ is planned to take place on the occasion of this years’ colloquium. The network has the aim to promote landscape architecture research and to connect doctoral students and other interested colleagues by establishing this new platform in the field of Landscape Architecture.

Doctoral candidates are invited to submit proposals before 31st of July 2012. We will issue the draft sequence of presentations before 10th of August for your information.
